After hubby working 12hr. night shifts
and me trying to school
while he trys to sleep
while he trys to sleep
we needed some family time together.
So we took a tour on the USS Yorktown
aircraft carrier in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
Sitting in the captains seat is cool...
On the deck with all the planes...
We even got to tour a submarine...
Lil' girl can fit well... :~)
I found out later that my grandfather
served on this very same carrier
in WWII and I'm thankful we
got to see this part of history.
This looks like it was a great family fun day! How wonderful that you were able to tour it and also feel connected by your Family history.
