TBT, Our Little Vacation

I didn't get to blog about our vacation we took back in April, it was so fun. It had been a good
4 years or longer since we took a family vacation, and we had talked about going back to
Missouri for years and taking the kids to Silver Dollar City. As a child I got to go a couple of times
but I was so young I don't remember much. We waited for the kiddoes to be old enough to be
able to ride the rides and no pushing a stroller, lol.

April 29-May 2, 2015

On our way we stopped in Arkansas and
seen the Natural Bridge 100 ft.
sandstone bridge.

The first day we went it was very cool, up there
it still felt like spring, glad we packed
warm clothes for the trip.

We got to go in the cave, now it was
a good 15-20* cooler inside.

We rode all the rides...more than once. I got to
ride the old Fire in the Hole.

Went to many of the craftsmen shops and
learned so much, here we watched
them make some yummy taffy.

We also enjoyed Branson and rode the Ducks.

And walked through the Titanic.

Our housekeeper even left us a sweet note.
I left her one in return.

Road Schooling Our First 3 Weeks

"Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning."
Lamentations 3:23

The kiddos and I have came to 3 weeks of school already...that passed by pretty fast. Schooling in the camper can be a bit of a challenge, trying to get a good spot for each child and making sure they have enough lighting, these lights in here are not the best. But, the kiddos have for the most part gotten into
a routine and we have a schedule and sticking to it.

First year of high school here we go,
I believe he enjoys biology.

He takes up the whole couch, but, he is
finally able to work independently.

He found a nice lil' spot with a lot
of natural light coming in.

Ahhh, I finally have one that loves to read,
she enjoys reading to her fluffy friends.

It's been three years since we been up here
in TX, and the kiddos have GROWN!

On the Road Again in Texas

It took me all of four days to organize the school books, clothes, food etc.and pack up our 36ft. camper
to hit the road with my welder for a few weeks. Three hours into our trip we had a tire blow out on the camper, so that was a few hour delay getting that fixed. First we went to Oklahoma to visit my family
I hadn't seen in seven months. The truck had to be put in the shop so we spent a few extra days
visiting...that was nice, but vehicle work breaks the bank!

2011 & 2015

I started an oily journey and I've been enjoying it very much, I still have a lot to learn. So, after a week
on the road, unexpected expenses and 815 miles later, I've come to really LOVE a few oils indeed. ;-)

Young Living #2691898

It's been three years since the kiddos and I visited the panhandle of Texas, it has been sweet seeing
the friends we got to know the last time we were here. And we got to start school, a few days late,
but, I'm working on my 11th. year of homeschooling.

A Quick Look Back

2015 has been a blessing...

We got to go on a family vacation, been 4 years since our last one.

I finished my 10th year of Homeschooling, what a mile stone for me.

The kiddos enjoyed going to VBS, they learn so much, God is good.

Took a lot of trimming limbs, but we got our camper down the driveway.
