Crafty Busy Momma

"There is always, always, always,
something to be thankful for..."
~Unknown~

As we are getting closer to Thanksgiving, I've been thinking on things
we take for granted in our every day life, and mine that came to mind
was being able to "sew". To me it's like cooking supper for the family
it is easy and just comes natural...but for others it is not so for them,
I've met so many people that would LOVE to learn my "gift".

For the past few weeks I've been whipping up gifts for my nieces
and nephews to give as early Christmas gifts next week when I see
them, I don't get to see them often being we are over 600 miles
apart from each other, so I miss birthdays and Christmases.
So this year I wanted to use my "gift" God gave me and make each of
them something special from me. <3

If you find me on Pinterest and look through my board "Crafty Busy
Momma" you will find all the tutorials to do the things I made here. :-)
Lion tag toy
Reversible bag
Baby doll bassinet
Tag quilt
Box car carrying case

I finished my crafts this weekend.

Even had time to make lil' girl
a peasant dress for her
and her baby doll.

And after all that sewing I worked on, I still found time to homeschool,
that in its self is a "gift".....I craft mostly on the weekends as to not
interfere with the kiddos schooling, ;-) We learned about King Tut and
Pyramids, so the boys had fun building Pyramids with their Lego's, even
put treasure inside each Pyramid, such FUN! :-)

Election 2012 Homeschool

"For the LORD is high above the nations;
his glory is higher than the heavens."
~Psalm 113:4 (NLT)~

Flag flying here in Pampa, TX.

This Election was I believe a tough one, but I know only one thing,
God is still in control, He is still King of all, and He still loves us.
So no matter how the outcome was going to be, the kids and I
had fun learning all about the election day.

My little voters.

We made an "Election Board" with all the info and pictures we
could find and paste...we even made our own ballot box and
voted that morning on a movie, game, snack and supper for that
evening. :-)

Our "Election board"

Then the day after we took our map of America and colored it in for
our electoral map/polls. We have one colorful map now to put in
our "Homeschool Portfolio" to save and enjoy in our homeschooling
journey.....that will be a blog in the future, Lord willing! ;-)

Thanksgiving Decor

"Can't have too much decor can ya?" ~me~ ;-)

Hanging outside on the camper.
The kids found the wood and leaves and helped
me make this wreath, we enjoy it.

On our super-slide out.
The kids helped me cut out all 19 triangles to spell,
"Happy Thanksgiving"

Our "Thankful Tree".
We took a brown paper bag cut strips, twisted and
made us a tree, then cut out leaves.
(Every day we put a new leaf of "Thankfulness")

Our banner...
This is whats on the end
"Gobble Gobble"

YES, I love to decorate, it's so fun and exciting and for the past few weeks
I've been getting our little camper ready for my favorite holiday
THANKSGIVING!!!
Now I have so much more, but that's all back home in a tote packed in our
shed, *sigh*! So this will just have to do for now. :-)
All I need now is a pie baking in the oven for that holiday smell, mmmm!!!
